How much does postage cost?

We currently offer free shipping to the UK, EU, USA and Canada on all web orders exceeding a minimum order value.

United Kingdom: Free shipping on orders of £20/$28 or over, delivery within 2-5 working days

European Union: Free shipping on orders of £50/$70 or over, delivery within 3-9 working days

United States and Canada: Free shipping on orders of £30/$40 or over, delivery within 3-6 working days

We also offer a range of postal services at varying costs, on all orders. A rough estimate is provided below.

For UK orders:

  • From £2.36 for orders up to 1.25kg sent via Economy Mail Service Untracked, estimated delivery time of 4-5 working days.
  • From £3.67 for orders up to 4kg sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Post Untracked, estimated delivery time of 2–3 working days.
  • From £4.09 (weight dependent) for Next Day Tracked service. Orders must be placed before 3pm.

For EU orders:

  • Economy Untracked (weight dependent) from £1.78, estimated delivery time of up to 14 working days.
  • Standard Untracked (weight dependent) from £4.09, estimated delivery time of 3 – 9 working days.
  • Premium Tracked (weight dependent) from £10.44, estimated delivery time of 2-5 working days.

For US orders:

  • Economy Untracked (weight dependent) from $1.64, estimated delivery time of 2-3 weeks
  • Standard Untracked (weight dependent) from $3.64, estimated delivery time of 5-10 working days
  • Premium Tracked (weight dependent) from $14.90, estimated delivery time of 2-3 working days

 When will I receive my order?

The time for delivery depends on the destination and the local postal services of that particular country. Unfortunately we cannot give a specific date for when deliveries will be made as all deliveries are handled by domestic postal services.

If you have chosen, or your order has automatically defaulted to a courier service, then you’ll be able to track your order; details of which will be in your shipping confirmation email. Below is a general guide.

 United Kingdom 2-5 working days

US & Canada 2-10 working days

Ireland 3-10 working days

Europe 1-2 weeks

Australia & New Zealand 1-3 weeks

Singapore & Hong Kong 1-3 weeks

South America 1-3 weeks

All other countries 1-3 weeks

 Can I track my order?

Small or single title orders may be non-trackable if they have been sent via standard post. However, if you have ordered several titles and the weight of the parcel gets to a certain threshold, it will automatically be sent via a trackable service; or if you have opted to pay for a courier service at checkout, these will be trackable and you will receive a tracking number with your order confirmation. The shipping confirmation email will be sent as soon as your order has been dispatched.

Which payment options are available?

We accept all major cards: VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, VISA Debit, VISA Delta, Maestro, Electron, SOLO.

My credit/debit card has been declined, what should I do?

Please try another card or get in touch with your bank to find out what the problem was.

Can I change or cancel my order if I have made a mistake?

This might be tricky as all orders go straight to our warehouse for fulfilment. Please send an email to cservs@nbninternational.com with your order confirmation reference as soon as possible and we’ll see what we can do.

I’ve entered the wrong shipping address or would like to change the shipping method – what can I do?

Please notify our customer services team as soon as possible by emailing cservs@nbninternational.com, as orders are likely to be processed straight away.

 I have made two separate orders – is it possible to consolidate them?

All orders go directly to our warehouse for fulfilment, and they will most likely treat each order separately as this is an automated process, but please contact our customer services team as soon as possible to see if anything can be done: cservs@nbninternational.com

Will I get a receipt for my order?

As soon as your order has been accepted, you will receive an automated order confirmation email. For print books, you will also get a shipping confirmation email once your order has shipped.

My books have arrived damaged – what should I do?

I have only received part of my order, why?

It might be because the book was available at the point you added it to your shopping basket and confirmed your order, and then several orders arriving at the same time might have caused the warehouse to run temporarily out of stock.

You will not be charged for any order that has not been supplied; your order will be recorded and will be sent to you separately when it is back into stock at which point you’ll be charged for it. Also, the shipping confirmation email should have the full details of what you have received and been charged for.

Can I place an order over the phone?

At present, we can only accept orders placed through our website. This method enables us to process orders a lot quicker and ensures that customers’ details are stored securely throughout the ordering process.

Can I get a refund?

We will make a full refund excluding delivery costs for unwanted goods returned in their original condition up to 30 days after the delivery date. We will also make a full refund for books sent in error or damaged upon receipt.

The account of the credit card used for the original purchase will be credited back the amount of that purchase, less postage and packing if returned within 30 days from delivery of your package (unless we’ve made an error).

If you do not receive credit for your return within four weeks (six weeks for items travelling from overseas), please notify us at cservs@nbninternational.com.

EBOOKS

What is the difference between an ePub and Mobi eBook?

EPub files will work on every reader or device except Kindle. Kindle/Mobi files will only work on your Kindle device.

How will I receive my EBook?

You will see a download link at the end of the checkout and it will also be emailed to you. You will be able to download your eBook up to three times.

How do I read my eBook on my iPad/ iPhone/ Kindle/ Nook/ Kobo/ Android device etc?

Please note that mobi eBooks are currently only readable on Amazon Kindle electronic devices, while ePubs are readable on most other electronic devices—including all Apple products, Kobo devices and Android smartphones and tablets.

If you’re using iOS (for iPad/iPhone), you should be able to click on the download link for the ePub file, select “Open in iBooks” and start reading straightaway.

For Android devices, you will need to install a free eReader app.

For Kindle/ Nook/ Kobo you will need to download the file to your computer, then connect your device to your computer with a USB cable, and drag the file to your device’s books or documents folder.

If you’re using a Kindle or the Kindle app, you can also use your ‘Send-to-Kindle’ email address ending in kindle.com, to wirelessly deliver your mobi eBook to your Kindle account. More details on how to locate and activate this email address can be found here.

How do I read my eBook on my desktop computer?

On a Mac, ePub files can be downloaded and opened in iBooks. For Windows, you will first need to download an eBook-reading program, such as Adobe Digital Editions.

In order to read a mobi file on your computer you will need to install the Kindle app.

I am still having trouble downloading my EBook. Who should I contact?

Our website will include all Zed Books titles currently in print. If you cannot find a book then it is likely to be out of print. Please check some of the online retailers such as AbeBooks and The Book Depository.
