African Arguments is the world’s most successful English language book series and blog, publishing research and long-format journalism which engages with policy work, activism and the public at large.
This round-table discussion, hosted by Zed Books and the International African Institute, will reflect on the state of African Studies publishing and writing on African issues both within and beyond the academy. As well as providing practical information on the series it will serve as an outreach initiative to encourage new authors to consider submitting their work, while reflecting on African political and cultural issues, themes and current publishing practices.
Editors involved in the series and blog, as well as recent authors, will lead a round-table style discussion in which all are welcome to attend and participate.
Ken Barlow, Senior Commissioning Editor, Zed Books
